The Terrain Analyzer and Sample Tester Explorer (TASTE) is a CubeSat mission consisting of a 12U orbiter capable of deploying a 4U lander to explore the Martian moon Deimos to understand its origin and evolution. The orbiter will carry a camera and an X- and γ-ray spectrometer, while the lander will carry a camera and an acquisition mechanism capable of collecting surface samples and extracting organic molecules. TASTE will study the global morphology, elemental abundance, the landing site morphology, the gravity field, and the or-ganic content thanks to advanced miniaturized technology specifically developed for the smallsats deep space applications The presentation will highlight the progress and advancements of Phase B study.
