SITAEL is a fully Italian space company and part of Angel Holding (over 3,000 employees). It specializes in the production of next-generation satellites, plasma electric propulsion systems for satellites and electronic equipment for space missions. SITAEL has over 250 highly specialized employees and has participated in more than 30 international space missions.
SITAEL is distinguished by its Electric Propulsion Department, one of the few in the world that develops Hall effect thrusters, based on proprietary technology, and houses Europe’s largest Space Simulator.
In the field of satellites, in particular for Earth Observation, Telecom and Science, Sitael has the complete control of the lifecycle: from design to in-orbit operations with its own mission control center.
Its facilities in Mola di Bari (I) allow integrating satellites in series, for constellations, from 50 to 500 kg. The satellites are tested in the recently inaugurated (2025) state-of-the-art test center: thermal-vacuum, vibration, EMC.
