Started working on Sunsensors in 2003 after writing the proposal for the first single chip true digital Sunsensor of TNO as part of the MicroNed program.
Started Lens Research & Development in 2012 after having worked on reaction wheels at Bradford Engineering for a year. Â The company (now called Lens R&D B.V. is specialized in high reliability Sunsensors for space application the majority of which are fully ESA qualified. In progress to develop a single chip radiation hardened true digital Sunsensor that is acceptable for ESA but can be cost effectively produced through optimisation for volume production. (development in frame of an ESA advanced research for telecom (ARTES) contract with support of the Dutch national space agency NSO).
Promotor of the Space-grade Commercial Off The Shelf (SCOTS) concept.
