As Head of Regulatory Affairs, Matteo Cappella leads Leaf Space’s regulatory team with a focus on telecom market access, spectrum management, satellite regulations and policy, engaging with national and international regulatory authorities to advocate for and support the deployment of Leaf’s network of ground stations and the expansion of Leaf’s services. Previously, Matteo worked as research consultant as part of the Space Power and Policy Applied Research Consortium (SPPARC), based at Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia. He worked also at the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) as Operations Manager, and conducted research at the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI), covering topics on space policy, entrepreneurship and international relations.
