What is SmallSat Europe?

SmallSat Europe is a two-day conference which combines both technical and business discussions on several stages. SmallSat Europe is also Europe's largest SmallSat focused exhibition floor.

Who should attend SmallSat Europe?

There are three major groups of people who should attend SmallSat Europe:

  • Engineers looking to either present their latest technology, or learn from other engineers presenting theirs
  • Business executives looking to learn about the latest trends in the industry in sessions and through networking on the exhibition floor
  • Students looking to learn from professionals so that they can position themselves for employment and rapid growth after graduation

Our privacy policy precludes us sharing contact information, but all registered attendees can easily reach out to others using the event app or virtual platform.

Access to the mobile app and virtual site will be available circa May 5th, 2025.

Where will SmallSat Europe take place?

SmallSat Europe will take place at the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Europaplein 24, 1078 GZ Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Do you have a discounted hotel agreement?

We have contracted with RAI Amsterdam, Hotel Services to provide the best rates for a number of local hotels. Please visit this link: Hotel Services

What is the cost to attend?

The 2025 attendee pass will cost €495 with significant discounts for students, government entities, and startups. Exhibitors will have a number free passes for internal use or distribution.

Do you offer expo only passes?

No. Registration is required to enter the exhibit area.

Do I need to register for specific talks or sessions at SmallSat Symposium?

No. The full conference is accessible to all registered attendees on a first arrival basis.

CONTENT

When and how do I submit a technical paper?

Requests to present are closed for 2025

Can I contribute to the business / main stage?

Submit a speaking request on our contacts page for inclusion on the business stage. Senior executives and thought leaders will be given top priority.

How and when are abstracts selected for presentation?

Abstract submission is subject to a two stage review. Within 36 hours you will receive a preliminary acceptance or denial based upon basic submission criteria. Submissions focused commercial applications or promotional in nature will be rejected during this review. All other abstracts will be reviewed by a 12 person technical committee and chairperson. This committee will render a final determination on January 17th, 2025. You will be notified by email and required to confirm presentation and final paper submission deadline adherence.

When are papers due?

Final papers are due April 15, 2025.

Will slide decks be available?

Select slides will be available shortly after each session or talk in the event app. Availability is at the discretion of individual speakers. In the past, most speakers have chosen to share their slide decks.

Will there be reserved seating for sessions?

There will not be reserved seating; all sessions will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Will event recordings be available?

Not this event, all sessions are in-person only.
